I have slacked off on many areas of my life between the pandemic and completing grad school, but one thing that I’ve managed to always keep creative is my kids’ Valentine’s gifts for their school parties. Last year, at this point, we were still schooling virtually (by choice), so we didn’t get to make any. This year, I got my shit together and actually created a couple of cute options!
For this first one, I purchased individually wrapped small bath bombs from Amazon, 4×6 plastic bags (that have adhesive on them), and created a little 3×5 insert with a cute little saying and my daughter’s name.
My son is in fifth grade and, well, he’s just about to be done with these little gifts and parties. Too old and cool for it, I suppose. So I kept his super simple, but his favorite chips in bulk on Amazon and created a paper, folded it in half, and stapled it to the top!
So simple, anyone can do them. I just love having something unique(ish) for them to pass out for their friends. I think it makes it more enjoyable for everyone involved. And, since my years left to do this are numbered, I’m going to enjoy it as much as I can.
